REPAIR AND RESTORATION

For instrument repair and restoration Katharina Meierott offers you more than thity years of experience in repair and restoration. Fascinated by old art objects in her youth, she later worked, amongst other places, in the Art History Museum of Vienna. Here she restored bowed instruments. “It’s wonderful to make a contribution to the preservation of old instruments.”

Striving for perfection

Katharina has an eye for detail and strives for perfection in her work. She regularly attends a course in West Dean in order to maintain her high quality standards. Here colleagues from all over the world exchange experience and information: an ideal way for Katharina to remain updated on the latest techniques. Her striving for perfection extends to her contacts with musicians. She involves her clients closely in the restoration and repair process of their instruments so as to provide them with an insight into her work.
